Slaves have revealed that they’re already hard at work on their second album proper – the follow up to last year’s ‘Are You Satisfied?’ – claiming it’s already halfway ready.
“I pretty much guarantee you there will be an album out this year,” guitarist Laurie Vincent tells TeamRock. “It’s half done in our minds – we have plans for the cover and the title. We’ve got six or seven songs fully completed and that we need to record, but it’s moving very rapidly.”
He also says the band are hoping for a Number 1 with their next release. ”Hopefully the total number of people who bought this album will buy it in the first week next time – that’s the dream. I’d love to get a Number 1 album and, because we got in the Top 10, it kind of feels possible.”
Slaves recently rescheduled a bunch of live dates, as drummer / vocalist Isaac Holman dislocated his shoulder and couldn’t perform. They’re now midway through the new run, with remaining dates as follows:
12 Liverpool O2 Academy
14 London O2 Forum
15 Manchester O2 Ritz
16 Manchester O2 Ritz
