Following recent reports that former Gun N’ Roses guitarist Slash and frontman Axl Rose are finally getting along, Velvet Revolver’s Scott Weiland has claimed in a new interview that he thinks that band will get back together.
“I remember a little bit about it,” he told Alternative Nation, of his feud with Axl. “There was a little going back and forth between the two of us at the time, but I think that Guns N’ Roses are getting back together.”
He also went on to discuss Velvet Revolver’s reunion that never quite happened. “We did a show together, and there was talk about us getting back together, but Perla, Slash’s ex-wife, kind of put the kibosh on everything.
“As far as getting back together, I thought at the time we would get back together and do a tour.”
Slash left Gun N’ Roses in 1996. He’s since released albums with Slash’s Snakepit, Velvet Revolver and as a solo musician; most recently, ‘World On Fire’ in 2014.
The band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, their first year of eligibility.
