Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz has taken part in a letter writing project, where influential dads have been asked to write open letters to their children in celebration of Father’s Day.
“You have both changed me and taught me so much in ways the version of me that existed before you would never be able to understand,” wrote Pete, who currently has two sons, Bronx and Saint.
“Boys: always take the high road, even when the low road seems easier or simpler. Let your kindness radiate and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Be yourself when it is not popular to be.”
Other dads taking part include 2016 Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, Simpsons actor Hank Azaria, Pulitzer Prize–winning author Anthony Doerr and NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson.
Fall Out Boy have recently released their sixth studio album, ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’. It’s the second since the end of their brief hiatus, following 2013’s ‘Save Rock and Roll’.
