A Kickstarter has been set up to launch Headliners, a documentary about the 2003 punk rock and emo scenes that dominated the airwaves.
“Headliners is a new series about the punk rock and emo scenes in 2003, when the greats like Yellowcard, The Starting Line, Blink-182, New Found Glory, and so many more played all over the radio and wrote the songs that became the soundtrack of our lives.
“To make Headliners as authentic as possible, we brought on members from some of our favourite bands to exec produce the show – including Ryan from Yellowcard, Christian from Anberlin, Austin and Caleb from Forever The Sickest Kids, and the guys from State Champs and The Word Alive. From writing original music to taking part in the rewards, they’ll be bring the world to life.”
“We believe this is a story the needs to be told, and we’ve spent the last two years working nights, weekends, and every time in between to make it happen,” the Kickstarter explains. “Now we need your help to take it all the way and bring the show to life.”
