Yesterday evening (16th June) it was announced that Foo Fighters have been forced to cancel their headline slot at Glastonbury, “due to injuries sustained in Dave Grohl’s fall from the stage during Foo Fighters’ June 12 show at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.”
Ever since rumours have been rife as to who will replace the band on Friday 26th June, and this morning Paddy Power have confirmed who they think it will be. Notable acts in their list of odds include Muse, Radiohead and AC/DC all at 16/1.
Topping the list of likely Glastonbury stand ins, are Blur at 4/1, Florence + the Machine at 5/1, The Stone Roses at 6/1, Taylor Swift at 8/1, Coldplay at 12/1 and Kanye West at 12/1. Kanye of course, is already headlining one of the other nights, topping the bill on Saturday 27th June, followed by The Who on Sunday 28th June.
Foo Fighters have also been forced to pull their Wembley Stadium dates, which were going to take place this weekend (19th – 20th June).
