It’s here! We’ve been secretly working away in the Upset bunker for the past few months, working on our first ever print magazine – and we’re finally done. As we speak, copies are winging their way around the country to venues, record stores, bars and other lovely places. Over the next few days they’ll start to appear in the wild, but from RIGHT NOW you can read the fruits of our labour online. Free. Cos we’re nice like that.
Issue 1 is packed to the bursting edges with awesome things. Our first cover features Refused, speaking about the new album they said could/would/should never happen. Elsewhere, there are interviews with Frank Iero, Rolo Tomassi on their decade long stint on the frontlines of music, and mewithoutYou, who take us inside their 5* rated new album ‘Pale Horses’.
Desaparecidos return after quite frankly way too long away, No Devotion tell all about their forthcoming album, with similar new-release-centric chats with Don Broco and Neck Deep. Elsewhere, twenty one pilots take us inside their genre-defying rise to the big leagues, and Download Festival 2015 is recounted in-depth. We also catch up with Enter Shikari, Candy Hearts, PVRIS, Tellison, Brawlers, Vennart, Bleachers and loads more.
Plus, for one month only, we catch up with some of our favourite bands who are bringing through something new, fresh and exciting. Moose Blood, Bully, Milk Teeth, Creeper, Black Peaks, Woahnows, Allusondrugs and Creeper all make an appearance. Add Brand New, The Movielife and Lonely The Brave live, and you’ve got one full magazine.
You can read the August issue of Upset, order a copy, or subscribe from here. September’s issue will be out on Friday, August 21st. We don’t mean to sound cocky, but it’s already looking even bigger. Enjoy!
