2015’s Reading & Leeds Festival will be headlined by The Libertines, Mumford & Sons and Metallica. Against Me!, PVRIS, Bring Me The Horizon, Drenge and current Upset cover stars, FIDLAR will also play – as will LA-based duo Ho99o9.
“It’s like graduating from HS but still having to go to summer school,” says Eaddy. “I have no idea what that means. I just thought of that at that moment; I’ve had a few drinks in me.”
“It’s just as important as any show we play,” shrugs theOGM. “Every set is special, but yes for Reading & Leeds it’ll be like when OJ Simpson got acquitted. Or Michael Jackson.”
“I remember my first time at Reading & Leeds,” Eaddy continues. “It was a few years ago in my room in New Jersey, I was on YouTube looking at Cerebral Ballzy play. Great experience.”
This year, theOGM says they’re especially looking forward to seeing “Metallica, Tyler The Creator, Kendrick Lamar, maybe a few more.”
The band have just released new track ’Twisted Metal’ (listen above); their first new music since their ‘Horrors of 1999’ EP from earlier this year.
For the rest of the year however, theOGM is “gonna be working on staying away from roaches and police,” while Eaddy will be “working on walking more in Los Angeles rather then taking an Uber. Good cardio and work out for the legs.”
Reading Festival 2015 has now completely sold out, with the last few weekend tickets snapped up a few days ago. Tickets for Leeds Festival are still available. Read more about Reading & Leeds in the September issue of Upset.
