Before they head out on their co-headline UK tour with Black Peaks, Heck are stopping by Reading & Leeds. It’s actually the first time they’re playing the event since the recent-ish name change from Baby Godzilla.
“The last time we played R+L was probably our most memorable live experience to date,” says guitarist Matt Reynolds. “The crowd was intense and the atmosphere was just electric!”
The band play Reading later today (Saturday 27th August) and Leeds tomorrow (Sunday 28th August) on the Pit, alongside Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, former Upset cover stars Milk Teeth and more.
“The day that we’re playing on the Pit stage has a line up that dreams are made of,” he continues. “Kvelertak, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, the Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon… I will probably be spending that day hero worshipping and being sick.”
And as for their own set? “Until we play we generally have no idea what will happen, that’s probably why I get so nervous before we play, but that’s always channelled into intensity and energy. Expect a riot!”
