Frightened Rabbit are back and they’ve brought a new album with them. ‘Painting Of A Panic Attack‘ was produced by The National‘s Aaron Dessner and is out April 8th. Check out ‘Dream Death‘, the first track to be lifted from the record, below.
“Great songwriters touch a nerve, and I think Scott really touches a nerve with these songs. To me, lyrically, this album is a step above anything he’s written before,” ventures Dessner.
“Going into the record, there was a sense that we had to do something to push it forward slightly without it being a hackneyed move,” Scott Hutchinson shared in an interview with Stereogum. “I seem to have a well of turmoil to draw upon,” he continues of the lyrical nature of the album. “It’s a new way of putting forth the notion that you had a bad night, or that you feel like a fucking idiot at certain points. That’s what, I came to realise, is the reason I write songs anyway.”
