Following the news that Evanescence have parted ways with lead guitarist Terry Balsamo – and welcomed new member, Jen Majura – front woman Amy Lee has revealed that she’s working on new material.
“I am definitely working and making music with every intention of people hearing it at this point,” she told Rolling Stone. “I don’t know the plan with Evanescence. I don’t have any news or plans for new Evanescence, but new music for me, for sure.”
Evanescence do have live plans however; they’ve four dates scheduled for later this month:
13 Marathon Music Works, Nashville, TN
15 South Side Ballroom, Dallas, TX
17 The Wiltern, Los Angeles, CA
21 Ozzfest, Japan, Tokyo, Japan
They are also the latest band to be tackled by Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star, a company that turns popular songs into lullabies. The six-song release (out now) features ‘Bring Me to Life’, ‘My Immortal’, ‘Going Under’, ‘Call Me When You Are Sober’, ‘Everybody’s Fool’ and ‘Lithium’.
