Epitaph is a good label that releases good bands. And, above and beyond that, they’re good people too – which they’re showing with their newest idea.
“Here at Epitaph we want to help in a more profound way than just releasing really cool albums,” they explain on the website givingtuesdayepitaphrecords.com. “That’s why we wanted to participate in #GivingTuesday this year.
“We realize that there are many in this world who are less fortunate. The mission of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is to provide impartial medical relief to the victims of war, disease, and natural or man-made disaster, without regard to race, religion, or political affiliation.
“To help we have compiled records we released this year into rad 4 album digital bundles. You can purchase one for $10 with 100% (after credit card fees) going to Doctors Without Borders. You also have the option to donate a little bit more if you wish. Epitaph will match your donation. Please share this so we can raise as much as possible here.”
The three bundles feature albums by Desaparecidos, TWIABP, Joyce Manor and The Sidekicks; Falling in Reverse, Sleeping With Sirens, Too Close To Touch and SayWeCanFly; and Refused, Converge, Defeater and Retox. Bluntly, if you don’t at least buy that first one, you need a long, hard word with yourself.
