‘Reports’ (ah, reports – Ed) claim that Foo Fighters have already been given the nod to headline next year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Dave Grohl and co. were originally set to top the bill tomorrow night, but were forced to pull after the frontman broke his leg at a show in Sweden, with Florence & The Machine stepping in to replace them.
Emily Eavis has already claimed she’d “love” the band to return to headline in future, but now that esteemed bible of all things factual The Sun claims they’ve been booked to be return in 2016 as one of three already confirmed, but not announced, headline acts.
A source told the tabloid: “Dave was beyond gutted about pulling out of Glastonbury, especially at such short notice. But Michael [Eavis] was quick to book him for next year as he’s desperate for the Foos to headline. He knows they’ll go down a storm at Glasto. Dave agreed within seconds.”
