After last week’s additions, Download Festival has decided to start this week in the best way possible by adding another bunch of bands to its lineup.
Following on from their arena tour, All Time Low will be returning to the UK to headline Download’s second stage, playing just after Twin Atlantic. Glassjaw have also been confirmed for that stage and, after their recent shows, we can’t wait.
Pennywise, Napalm Death, Devil You Know, Buck & Evans, Scorpion Child, The Raven Age, Weirds, The Temperance Movement, The Shrine, The Wildhearts, Scattering Ashes, Royal Republic and Napalm Death have also all been added to the bill.
It’s recently been announced that the Download Main Stage will be renamed, in honour of the late Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister.
“Whilst we’re saddened to say Motörhead will no longer be performing at this year’s Download Festival, we will honour a true rock ‘n’ roll icon who inspired so many others on the bill, Lemmy Kilmister,” says a statement from the festival. “For one year only, Download Festival’s Main Stage will be named ‘The Lemmy Stage’ in tribute to a much loved and missed legend. We are working with Motörhead’s management on a tribute to the great man during the slot he would have performed on, more information to follow.”
Download Festival is set to take place 10th-12th June 2016 at Donington Park and will feature headline performances from Rammstein, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. Tickets are on sale now.
