30 Seconds To Mars’ frontman has spoken to NME about their new album.
In the interview, Leto revealed they’re close to finishing the record, with “40 to 50” songs written.
“Every time you make an album, every time you write a song, you have the ability to redefine, reimagine and to experiment and take chances,” he explined. “I’m a big believer that it’s okay to let go of your past and explore new territory, so that’s what we’re doing.”
In case your wondering, the record isn’t influenced by his recent work on the Suicide Squad film. “I don’t need any Joker input,” he said. “We’ve gone through our dark, twisted period. We’re more in our aspirational, self-reflective period or something, I don’t know.”
