After revealing the first five bands on Sunday’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, the next batch of acts for the 10th year of 2000trees festival have been announced.
Joining headliners Refused and Twin Atlantic – as well as Moose Blood, While She Sleeps and WSTR – are Palm Reader, The Smith Street Band, Max Raptor, Blood Youth, Kagoule, Trash Boat, Beasts, Black Foxxes, Muncie Girls, Tigercub, Bellevue Days and Jim Lockey.
Festival organiser James Scarlett explains – “This is 2000trees’ 10th anniversary so I’m very happy to say that without doubt we’ve booked our strongest ever line up. Twin Atlantic played for us way back in 2010 so to have them back as headliners in 2016 will be very special. And Refused are without doubt one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen so their Saturday night set will be something not to be missed. Bring it on!”
“One of the best things for me about 2000trees is how much the bands seem to love it. A lot of them stay for the entire festival and the number of campfire sets that take place across the site is ridiculous! Camp Reuben is my favourite – in the past I’ve seen Arcane Roots, Frank Turner and loads of others get up and play Reuben covers into the small hours. Awesome!”
2000trees takes place between July 7th and 9th. Tickets are on sale now.
