Chisel Beaches drop their new EP ‘Last In First Out’ today (Friday, 16th December), and to celebrate they’re premiering a new video – check out their awkward flirting and terrible dancing (sorry, guys) in ’Friday Night’s A Lie’ below, first on Upset.
“This video is for our song ‘Friday Night’s A Lie’, from our EP ‘Last In, First Out’,” the band explain. “Both the song and the video are about going to a terrible club because a girl you fancy is there.
“We really wanted to get the vibe of a terrible club down perfectly, so we half-filled a room with a handful of moderately enthusiastic friends and filmed our singer dancing and flirting awkwardly.
“The awkwardness is all natural. He can’t help it. We also asked one of our friends to be a creepy sleazeball. See if you can figure out which one he is!”

“The lyrics are about finding someone who completely takes you out of a rut,” she reveals.
