Despite their powerful stage presences, Japanese four-piece Bo Ningen find a way to sneak into your subconscious. Conjuring a hazy mist of acid punk, their music stretches on, twisting this way and that. It’s an acrobatic affair that’s held aloft by a confidence in their own craft and the unblinking eyes that look out from the stage are met by an audience transfixed by their creation. As the set progresses, as does their spindly reach but no amount of off-kilter snaps can shake this afternoon bewitch.
