PUP announce second album ‘The Dream Is Over’, coming May 27th

The news you’ve (probably) been waiting for is here. PUP will be releasing their second album ‘The Dream Is Over‘ via SideOneDummy Records on May 27th. Preorders are now live and the opening track ‘If This Tour Doesn’t Kill You, I Will‘ is below. Check it out, via Noisey.

“A few months ago, a doctor looked at Stefan’s throat and said, ‘The Dream Is Over’ – so that’s what we’re calling our new record,” explain the band.

Speaking to Upset earlier this year drummer Zack Mykula ventured that, “There’s no way anyone could have higher expectations for this record than us. We put our own interests ahead of anyone else’s. Expectation from others is definitely a thing we’re aware of, but it wasn’t the key thing.”

“The amount of pressure that could come from the outside will always be minor compared to the pressure we put on ourselves,” adds guitarist Steve Sladowski.

The band, as you’d expect, are touring hard to celebrate the release of ‘The Dream is Over’, including a European tour with Modern Baseball, a one-off London headline show and a US tour with Rozwell Kid. See y’all in the pit.
