Listen to Petal’s debut album ‘Shame’

Petal’s Kiley Lotz has released a stream of her brilliant debut album, ‘Shame’. Following on from her ‘Scout’ EP, this full-length hunk of excellence sees Kiley joined by Tiger JawsBrianna Collins on bass and bandmate Ben Walsh on drums and guitar.

“This record is kind of the apology, the confession and the acceptance of the ways I’ve felt shame in my life and trying to share it with others,” explains Kiley.

The album, three years in the making, sees Kiley question herself and the world around her. Influenced by a move from Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of a life onstage, it’s a record that captures both harsh realities and hopeful escape. “It triggered a lot of things for me personally that I wouldn’t change or regret. But it definitely made me write from a more honest, less scared perspective.”

‘Shame’ is due for release this Friday (23rd October) via Run for Cover Records. You can listen to the whole thing below. By can, we of course mean you should. Go on.
