Listen to an 8-Bit reworking of Brand New’s ‘Deja Entendu’

Ever wish you could combine the wonder of Brand New’s ‘Deja Entendu’ with the simple pleasure of classic console gaming?

WELL you’re in luck!

Following the success of an 8-Bit ‘Seventy Times Seven‘ Reddit user Blaaze6 decided to rework the entirety of the seminal ‘Deja Entendu’ and it sounds amazing.

You might want to bookmark this album so when Brand New do come back in June, all the fun, games and speculation surrounding a new album will have a suitable soundtrack.

It’s not just Reddit that have been getting all nostalgic of late. Brand New *finally* released their leaked 2006 demos in an official capacity via the oh-so-vintage medium of cassette tape.

“When they leaked onto the internet we felt that their worth as potential album pieces was compromised, so we abandoned many of them,” explains a note from the band inside the tapes. “Our fans, however, would not let them die so easily. So this tape is a thank you to all of you who ever heard these songs and came to care about them in the same way we always have.”
