Hear Kurt Cobain b-side, ‘Sappy’

Next month, alongside the DVD/Blu-ray edition of Brett Morgen’s Montage of Heck documentary, a new album compiled from Kurt Cobain’s song snippets, demos, and “musical experiments” will be released.

There will also be a 7” of Cobain’s cover of The Beatles’ ‘And I Love Her’ available, backed by a track called ‘Sappy’ – which you can hear below.

The album – available as both a 13-track standard edition and 31-track deluxe edition – is due for release on 13th November.

“These are all just Kurt by himself with the guitar,” Morgen told Billboard earlier this year. “These aren’t multi-track, finished songs or work-ups, but they’re extraordinary.

“I think they provide a tremendous insight into his [creative] process. I think they further our understanding of Kurt, both as a musician and as a man.”
