Listen to Deftones’ new track ‘Hearts/Wires’

We’re dangerously close to the release of new Deftones album ‘Gore‘ (which is out this Friday 8th April) and to continue the excitement the band have shared, via the Radio One Rock Show, the brand new track ‘Hearts/Wires‘. Check it out below.

The buildup to the release of ‘Gore’ has been littered with stories about how guitarist Stephen Carpenter didn’t really like the direction the band were taking. Turns out ‘Hearts/Wires’ was behind most of that unease. Speaking to Rolling Stone he explains, “That song made me think of Wild Bill the whole time – psycho killer and shit. I just didn’t feel it. I had to embrace my inner psycho rapist and come up with the part and get into it.”

‘Hearts/Wires’ follows on from ‘Prayers/Triangles‘ and ‘Doomed User‘. To celebrate the release of ‘Gore’ Deftones are headlining London’s Wembley Arena on June 3rd ahead of an appearance at Download Festival.

If that wasn’t enough, Deftones are on the cover of the April issue of Upset.
