Check out new tracks, classics and a Black Flag cover in Refused’s BBC Radio 1 session

Refused were pretty bloody tired yesterday. You would be too if you’d just finished off your US tour the night before, jumped straight on a plane, then headed from the airport immediately into a studio to record a live session.

That’s exactly what the band did, though – performing at Maida Vale Studio’s for Daniel P. Carter’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show.

Two new tracks ( ‘Elektra’ and ‘Françafrique’), two classics (‘Rather Be Dead’, taken from their 1996 effort ‘Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent’, and ‘Summerholidays vs. Punkroutine’, from ‘The Shape Of Punk To Come’) and a cover of Black Flag’s ‘My War’ went out last night (Sunday 7th July 2015).

If you missed them, fear not – you can check them out below, or as part of the full show here. ‘Elektra’ and ‘My War’ are played at around the 1.17.00 mark, with the remaining three from roughly 2.16.00 onwards.
